Der Ort lebt vom Wintersport. Die Saison ist lang und schneesicher. Es gibt wenig befahrene Pisten (vielleicht nicht in den finnischen Ferien) und ausgedehnte Loipen. Eigentlich wollten wir uns Nordlicht ansehen, was im Ort aufgrund der allgegenw\u00e4rtigen Beleuchtung schwierig ist. Da macht es Sinn, auf einen zugefrorenen See zu fahren und die Rundumsicht zu genie\u00dfen. Ivalo mit Flughafen ist in der N\u00e4he. Ausflugsziele: z.B. Inarisee. Im Februar lag so viel Schnee, dass ein Betreten des Waldes nur \u00fcber Wege m\u00f6glich war.
